This 50 m² top-floor apartment from the 1990s features an unusually irregular layout, with no parallel walls between the living room and kitchen. This unconventional condition opened up opportunities for creative intervention. By removing the corridor walls between the kitchen and bathroom, the layout was reorganised to allow a longer kitchen worktop and a more efficient, open flow. A central structural wall that could not be demolished was repurposed to hold a compact two-person dining table. With a new dry–wet separation in the bathroom and improved circulation, natural light now reaches deeper into the apartment, making the small home brighter, more flexible, and more comfortable.
